Meditation and Guided Visualization

Meditation (Source: Wikipedia) is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the reflexive, "thinking" mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. Meditation often involves turning attention to a single point of reference. It is a component of many religions, and has been practiced since antiquity. It is also practiced outside religious traditions. Different meditative disciplines encompass a wide range of spiritual or psychophysical practices that may emphasize different goals—from achievement of a higher state of consciousness, to greater focus, creativity or self-awareness, or simply a more relaxed and peaceful frame of mind.


There are many types and forms of meditation. Here are a few examples of what Anthea may use during her sessions:
 
Meditation focused on relaxation as a main purpose. Treat yourself to a calming journey far, far away from daily worries and stress factors.
 
Colour therapy inspired guided visualizations intended for chakra work within the mental body.
 
Meditation and visualization with the purpose of connecting and/or strengthening your existing connection to your Higher Self, spiritual guides, angels, or animal totems.
 
Solution focused meditation is intended for those clients who wish to seek answers to specific questions while in a meditative state.
 
 
Past Life Experiences meditation is intended to explore information about one or more previous existences and allowing this information to contribute to daily decision making in a conscious way. The knowledge obtained in this way can be regarded as meaningful insight,  just as well as for entertainment purposes.
 
This process does NOT involve 'stage hypnosis' and requires the client to remain wide awake as it is designed to heighten their self-awareness.
 
Following the meditation, you are welcome to discuss and analyze the information obtained during the session, or to keep these results to yourself, whichever you are comfortable with.
 
In either case, you have the benefit of confidentiality.
 
If your choice is to discuss this information with Anthea, make sure that the appointment you schedule is of sufficient length to cover both the meditation time as well as the discussion that follows. (In most cases 1.5 to 2hrs should be enouh time, although feel free to schedule the session according to your needs.)
